Description
Autism Initiatives are currently recruiting Support Worker Waking Nights with in the Kensington area of Liverpool working 35 hours per week on a permanent basis.
As an effective team member, you will be listening to people with Autism, understanding their preferences and needs. You will work alongside people, encouraging them to enjoy a full and exciting life. You will support them in a range of activities including developing their independence in daily living.
You will also be required to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to use your own initiative but also be a key team player.
The role of Support Worker also includes all aspects of personal care, household tasks and planning and record keeping. You will be required to work on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends, sleep-in duties and waking nights.
Previous experience of the same or a similar role is desirable although not essential as you will receive a full induction and ongoing learning and development opportunities, including Autism specific approaches.
Salary: 14,378 - 15,476 per annum pro rata based on a 39 hour working week. From April 1st all staff aged 25 and over will receive the National Living Wage of 7.50 per hour
